Smart Gen Society (SGS) has created a research-based preventative and proactive education program to help counteract the negative implications of a society immersed in technologies with a lack of resources and education to safely manage them. Our programming is offered both in-person and online for students, parents, and educators. SGS’s reach also extends to athletic teams and coaches, law enforcement, and businesses. Our workshops are driven by current digital issues which allow us to tailor workshop content to meet the immediate needs of our audiences.
Learn MoreSGS is here when something goes wrong in the digital world. Our professional staff is trained to facilitate the conversation with our partners at the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Outside of the case, we empower students and families to think critically about their digital usage, while maintaining their privacy and safety, and protecting their social, emotional, and mental well-being. Our goal is to help prepare students to reenter the online world with the tools they need to prevent future peer and predator exploitation and ensure online safety and privacy.
Learn MoreOur reach expands beyond the classroom as SGS actively advocates for a safer online atmosphere. Digital exploitation is up 98.5% since the start of the pandemic. We have dedicated our platform to creating tools to offset the negative implications of the ever-changing digital world. Currently, SGS and the Whole Collective are developing community groups to encourage support and ensure that voices are being heard. We are also diligently working to bring forth an Anti-Grooming Law to make it illegal for adults to manipulate minors for the intent of sexual gain online.
Learn More"Smart Gen Society aims to expand our reach to over 1.5 million students annually and decrease online exploitation by 20% through our educational programs. We also aspire to provide support to 100% of the victims and families of online crimes in Nebraska. However, we can’t do this without the help of our community. "
